From My Big Eyes – The Way I See IT
When considering the perfect place for Rest, Restoration, Relaxation plus Scenery, I suggest traveling to the beautiful Caribbean Island. The all-inclusive Beaches Resorts are known to offer a world of adventure for the entire family whether on vacation or escaping for a quick getaway. I had an opportunity to travel to Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos as the guest of International Journalist Leslie E. Royal for the grand re-opening. I cannot say enough wonderful things about the cultural exposure I gained from this amazing trip. The Resort is now better than ever and in full swing after recovering from severe damages left by Hurricane Irma in 2017.
A total of five beautiful villages are at the resort and takes on the styles of Italy, Caribbean, France and Key West. Dozens of different room categories from oceanside views and suites to quaint villas exist. Our room accommodations were at the KEY WEST VILLAGE which is geared for a more laid-back lifestyle, yet elegant and casual. It’s one of the newest properties just steps away from the beautiful blue watered beaches with white sand.
A total of 21 restaurants are on site but be forewarned that you will not be able to experience all of them in just a few days, so be sure to extend your stay. You will be amazed at the wide array of luxury food options. If you have a favorite cuisine, no worries, it can be found at Beaches Resort Turks & Caicos. Your challenge will be deciding which place to try one after another. Look at some of the restaurants I visited during my culinary experiences at the resort.
The Cricketer’s Pub has an English flare serving up shrimp cocktails, fish n chips with tasty drinks to the likes of pina colas and strawberry daiquiris.
The Bayside Restaurant is just a short walk from your room if you are staying in Key West Village. It offers a charming outdoor ambiance and serves a variety of International cuisines. The Sky Restaurant is located right upstairs from Bayside and it is the perfect breakfast place to catch views of turquoise beach water from the rooftop.
The Schooners Seafood Grill has a beautiful colonial style setting only steps from the ocean. Be sure to ask for the best fisherman’s catch of the day. Enjoy the sea breeze while feasting on exotic cuisines.
The Jerk Shack offers a true Caribbean experience. The authentic Jamaican dishes are seasoned with special Jerk seasonings that you can smell from afar. The Jerk cooks are happy to prepare it just the way you like it, tangy and spicy.
The Neptunes Mediterranean Seafood Restaurant offers seats right on the beach and is well known for its beautiful Coastal scenic views. Everything is prepared with a Mediterranean flare.
If you want to experience Asian cuisine, check out Kimonos. It is the perfect place for dinner. The chefs will entertain you and grill your favorite dishes such as ginger-infused chicken breasts, teriyaki beef, and peppery shrimp.
The Reflections Restaurant offers an International buffet for the entire family from traditional to island culture dishes. The indoor setting with a high sky ceiling and tropical plants adds a true Caribbean feel. Even the kids have a separate section of their favorites.
Mario’s serves up the finest Italian cuisine. Everything is authentically inspired by Mario’s love of his food and family. The food will leave you wanting more.
Bobby Dees is a kid’s paradise and great for big kids too! It’s a diner serving up classic favorite foods like burgers, pizza, and chicken nuggets. Made to look like a pirate ship, Bobby Dees is located right in the heart of the 45,000 sq. ft. Pirates Island Water Park.
A stop by the new Curls ‘n Swirls food truck is the best spot to cool off on a hot day! They have a variety of the island’s most delicious ice cream.
Mr. Mac food truck is one of the newest food trucks located in the Water Park. It has everything MAC n Cheese, from cheeseburger, buffalo chicken, pulled pork, Philly cheese steak and more. Just say cheese, please!
