The Way I See It – From My Big Eyes
I was especially excited to attend the private red-carpet screening for the documentary entitled “Unsolved History, Life of a King”. The film is centered around the untold life, leadership, and legacy of Alfred Daniel (A. D.) King, brother of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Little did I know that Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. had a younger brother who died 15 months after his assassination in 1968. This film looks at the cold case, an unsolved murder which is reported as the accidental drowning of A. D. King. What really happened?

Attendees included members of the King family (Alveda King, Bernice King, and Christine King Ferris), Actor Clifton Powell, Atlanta’s influencers, dignitaries, city officials and more. The film is produced by Josetta Shropshire Howard, Co-Executive Producer, and CEO of Positive Promotions Ltd. along with Ri-Karlo Handy, of Sunwise Media. Josetta started on this journey exactly eleven years ago to catalog the life events of A. D. King. She has traveled to a lot of places and met with many people since the inception of this project. The first person interviewed was Naomi Barber King, the wife of A. D. King. Many facts and historical information are documented via collaborations with Alveda King, daughter of A. D. King. Others who knew A. D King during the Civil Rights era can be seen in interview clips as part of the film.
The screening was held on Sunday, March 25, 2018, at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Visitor’s Center to Commemorate the 50th Anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Assassination.
